Hiking Adventures

God’s creation is beautiful! Saturday the 24th, we took a hike in the Swiss Alps! Very worth the 5 hour climb to see the end result of an amazing view of the great land of Switzerland. We took about an hour car drive to get to these mountains. Many people were either hiking or biking these trails. About half way up the climb we stopped at this little barn that had free cheese and tea being served over looking the mountains and clouds! Swiss people really are known for their hospitality and we saw that put into action, for sure. Some of us bought and shared a traditional Swiss dish. It was a base of bread with ham and fondue cheese on top. Very delicious and a great warm treat before hiking the rest of the way. As I was hiking I kept thinking of Gods creativity. The mountains, blue skies, trees, and streams all were so beautiful and brought glory to God. He is such an artist. A fun day full of laughs brought this wonderful week to a perfect close. That night we had a group movie time, we watched The Guardian. We had popcorn, ice cream, and many other yummy treats. This movie night was put on by one of the students in the SEM, School of Event Management, classes. Her efforts were a hit and we all enjoyed it. More to come! Thanks for all your comments and prayers.

Love you all. Matthew 22:37-40

Togetherness

Our YWAM DTS group has grown in relationships so much! Going on our third week here in Lausanne, we are all starting to bond and become one big family. Class room time, work duty, traveling, and ministering. We really do enjoy each others company. Here in YWAM they really focus on working together as a team and being united. Also, we have group community worship times that bring the whole base in one room to worship the Lord together. This brings all our focuses on God together as a base. We also have a staff bring a fresh and encouraging word along with that time of worship. Then after that we usually have class time in our individual schools such as DTS, SEM, and Genesis. In our class time we are learning about the foundations in ministry. Markus Steffan, YWAM Lausanne base leader, is the speaker for our class this week. He is an anointed speaker that also has a lot of wisdom when it comes to the word. I'm looking forward to hearing more of his teachings this week and also hearing from his wife. It's so nice having classes everyday that expand your knowledge of God and his word. I'm so blessed. More to come! Love you all!

Montruex Festival Outreach

The Montruex Jazz Festival is located in a beautiful place full of scenery, sites, and sounds. It attracts many people every year from all over the world. Perfect place to have an outreach with YWAM! Every night at 8 we put on a special performance full of dancing, singing, acting, and a lot of other amazing things! Each act is tied into the message of The Prodigals Son. I have seen this message reach a lot of people these past 2 days and with 8 more performances to come, I know that God will speak to so many more! Sharing with people about the Lord is something that is coming to me very passionately. I love telling the gospel in a loving and non condemning way. I'm excited to see more and more what Gods love will do this week. I'll keep you posted and post a blog with more pictures and praise reports in the next couple days.

Arriving in Switzerland

Traveling to Switzerland was a journey! Had to walk in faith a lot this trip with the time changes, different languages, and being all by myself as well. Very rewarding at the end of the trip to know I made it all the way here! This picture to the left is a picture I took! Thats the view I get to see outside my window here at the base! Its beautiful here, just gorgeous.

Today we started classes for our DTS. What I love is that there are so many different countries represented here at the school. Its neat to know that God called us all from different parts of the world together for one purpose, one school, to worship one God and to make him known. We all are so different, yet we have so much in common. At YWAM they really believe in making the base here like a family. We all help out, eat together, and fellowship together! They welcomed us all with open arms and a loving enviornment. The theme we have established here at the Lausanne base for this specific quarter is "Taste and see that the Lord is good." That, I think, is a perfect all around theme. Everyday day that I am here I am seeing more and more that the Lord is good and wants to bless his people.

This picture to the left is one I took after my daily quiet time with the Lord, his beauty and glory shines here! Just look out the window, its beautiful. I'm so blessed to have this amazing opprotunity to visit this amazing country and also grow closer to God and share the gospel at the same time.
Thank you all for taking the time to read! I'll try to post more pictures, We've all been doing so much since we just arrived.
Love you all and may God bless you,
