Traveling to Switzerland was a journey! Had to walk in faith a lot this trip with the time changes, different languages, and being all by myself as well. Very rewarding at the end of the trip to know I made it all the way here! This picture to the left is a picture I took! Thats the view I get to see outside my window here at the base! Its beautiful here, just gorgeous.
Today we started classes for our DTS. What I love is that there are so many different countries represented here at the school. Its neat to know that God called us all from different parts of the world together for one purpose, one school, to worship one God and to make him known. We all are so different, yet we have so much in

common. At YWAM they really believe in making the base here like a family. We all help out, eat together, and fellowship together! They welcomed us all with open arms and a loving enviornment. The theme we have established here at the Lausanne base for this specific quarter is "Taste and see that the Lord is good." That, I think, is a perfect all around theme. Everyday day that I am here I am seeing more and more that the Lord is good and wants to bless his people.

This picture to the left is one I took after my daily quiet time with the Lord, his beauty and glory shines here! Just look out the window, its beautiful. I'm so blessed to have this amazing opprotunity to visit this amazing country and also grow closer to God and share the gospel at the same time.
Thank you all for taking the time to read! I'll try to post more pictures, We've all been doing so much since we just arrived.
Love you all and may God bless you,
Emily- Proverbs 16:3
I'm so proud of you Lou. You went to Virginia for two weeks by yourself when you were only ten so it doesn't surprise me that now, traveling to Europe comes so naturally to you! Soak it all in Lou. Be a sponge!
ReplyDeleteEmily, we're delighted to hear from you! How great that you are making new friends and getting adjusted so fast. You sound so happy! We pray for you to experience God in a new and different way.
ReplyDeleteWe love you, Grandma and Grandaddy.
Emily, I am so excited for you. I have been friends with your dad and family for years. When David was in YWAM, it was my dream to go as well. It never materialized, but my heart still loves YWAM. Maybe one of my kids will get the opportunity to go someday. I love reading about your experiences and am praying that God will bless you abundantly while you are there. Denice Erway
ReplyDeleteThank you all for the encouraging words! Its so amazing here and I'm taking in all of it! YWAM is a great place to grow in the Lord, the atmosphere is so peaceful and loving. They really make it a family enviornment so I adjusted quickly here. Excited to really get in the swing of things and see all the things God is going to do.
